Deze hoezen zijn van polycarbonaat, dit materiaal is van nature een UV blocker. Bij gebruik van een TL buis en een wand van 250 mu is de UV A B C doorlaat nul, gemeten tussen 240 nm en 390 nm (UV A B C ) op 10 cm afstand. Het materiaal is geextrudeerd op 400 mu, dus nog dikker. Lichtreductie 7%.
