? The life span of a party of lamps of which 50% of the lamps will continue to function. Sometimes, incandescent or halogen lamps may become defective more quickly, but in case 50% of the lamps do still reach the lifespan, the lamps are still OK.
? A conventional ballast has a wound coil. It is somewhat cheaper to buy, but more expensive to run because more power is converted into heat. An electronic ballast not only has a lower power consumption, but it also has the advantage of longer lamp life.
? The wider the light beam, the larger the illuminated surface. Brightness decreases as the beam widens, since the light is divided over a larger area.
For creating high contrasts it is therefore recommended to apply smaller light beams. However, contrasts that are too high can be distracting and can cause adjustment problems for the eye, which can be tiring. On the other hand, too little contrast creates a dull and flat impression.
? If the product is unbranded, we do not have a regular supplier for itTherefore, the product version may slightly vary.
? Most common colour in the product.
? Light colour is often represented with a 3 digit number. The first digit indicates the CRI (Colour Rendering Index) or CRI Ra value:
5 = 50-59
6 = 60-69
7 = 70-79
8 = 80-89
9 = 90-99
The last 2 digits are for colour temperature.
The higher the colour temperature, the cooler the impression of light.
Warm white creates a cosy, welcoming atmosphere. Neutral cool-white creates a more businesslike atmosphere.
Low lighting levels in interior must be obtained with warm-white light. If a very high level of light is needed, this must be achieved with neutral or cool white light.
2700K extra warm white
3000K warm white
3500K neutral white
4000K cool white
5000-5500K daylight
6000K cool daylight
? Light sources can be classified on the basis of their colour rendering properties. The unit for colour rendering is called CRI (Colour Rendering Index, or CRI Ra value). The scale of the Ra is from 50 to 100.
Ra = 90-100 excellent colour rendering properties
Ra = 80-90 good colour rendering properties
Ra = 60-80 moderate colour rendering properties
Ra <60 poor colour rendering properties
Fluorescent and PL lamps with an equal power, the luminous flux of Ra 90-100 tubes is typically 20% lower.
?

Colour temperature is expressed in kelvin (K). The higher the colour temperature, the cooler the impression of the light:

2700K: extra warm white
3000K: warm white
3500K: neutral white
4000K: cool white
5000-5500K: daylight
6000K: cool daylight

Extra warm white creates a warm, inviting atmosphere (e.g. hotel, living room, and catering). Warm white can be used for a pleasant atmosphere (e.g. retail and office). Neutral cool white creates a more businesslike atmosphere, this color gives a sterile atmosphere.
Low lighting levels are obtained in interior with warm white light. If a very high level of light is needed, neutral or cool white light is a good choice.

? Depth in millimetres.
?

Dim to warm is a dimming technique that adjusts colour temperature as the light is dimmed: it shifts from warm white to extra warm white when fully dimmed. This technique has various names, such as Dimtone or Glowdim.

? Some lamps and ballasts are dimmable. There are different types of dimmers and different ways to dim a ballast or transformer. In case of insufficient knowledge, please check with our sales department.
? Glass colour.
? Maximum height in millimetres.
? The size of the hole you can build in the fixture.
?
This may be a fixed voltage or two values with a hyphen.
You can use the product within these limits.

The IP (Ingress Protection) code indicates the degree of protection against ingress of moisture and solid objects. The code consists of two firures.
The first figure indicates the protection against objects and dust:
IP 0x - not protected
IP 1x - protected against objects with a diameter above 50 mm
IP 2x - protected from objects with a diameter greater than 12 mm (touch safe)
IP 3x - protected from objects with a diameter greater than 2.5 mm
IP 4x - protected against objects with a diameter greater than 1 mm
IP 5x - protected against dust ( dust )
IP 6x - dustproof

The second figure indicats the protection against water:
IP x0 - unprotected (plain)
IP x1 - Protected against dripping water (drip)
IP x2 - Protected against dripping water when tilted to 15 degrees
IP x3 - protected against spraying water (rain tight)
IP x4 - protected against splashing water (splash proof)
IP x5 - protected against water jets (splashproof)
IP x6 - protected from rainstorms
IP x7 - protected against accidental immersion (30 minutes to 1 meter deep) (waterproof)
IP x8 - protected from stay under water (pressure proof)

? Cap, lamp holder or lamp base type.
? Luminaire including or excluding lamp(s).
? Product length in millimetres. For fluorescent tubes, this excludes the metal pins on the end unless otherwise stated.
? Type of lamp that fits in the luminaire. In some cases, several types of lamps can be used in one luminaire.
? Application of the luminaire depending on the environment. For example, an indoor fitting cannot be used outdoors. An outdoor luminaire, on the other hand, could be used indoors, but may be less suitable here, fore example because it provides too much light or is aesthetically unsuitable.
? Type of luminaire application.
? The amount of light transmitted by the light source per second. The unit of luminous flux is the lumen (lm).
? The amount of light transmitted by LEDstrip per second per meter length. The unit of luminous flux is the lumen (lm).
? Material of which the major part of the product is made.
? Maximum amount of power, expressed in watts, that can be connected to the transformer in order to work properly. If the assets exceed this maximum amount, the transformer may behave abnormally: known phenomena in electronic transformers are the lights switching on and off, and no output voltage.
? Each type of LED requires a different driver. Current-controlled LEDs of 350, 700, 1050 and 1400mA need to be connected in series. This can be easily done with an LED distributor. Unused outputs are shorted with a wire . First connect the wires, then you can put power on! Never disconnect wires under power!
? Outside Dimension is the largest size, often of the lamp head.
? Length of the reel in metres.
? The number of lights that the luminaire can contain. Most luminaires are supplied without lamps. If lamps are included can be found in filter property Lamp included.
? Length of the supplied pendant or steel wires.
? The number of degrees that the fixture can be tilted vertically.
? As LED strips and rope lights have several LEDs or lamps connected in series, they cannot be shortened to any length. The number of mm by which the product can be shortened is specified here.
? This may be either a fixed voltage or two values, in which case the product can be used within these limits.
? The power that the bulb consumes. This does not include the loss of any ballast or transformer.
? Maximum width in millimetres.
