? The ANSI code on a lamp or device indicates that the product meets ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards. ANSI is an organisation that develops standards for performance, dimensions and safety. Lamps with corresponding ANSI codes are interchangeable.

? The life span of a party of lamps of which 50% of the lamps will continue to function. Sometimes, incandescent or halogen lamps may become defective more quickly, but in case 50% of the lamps do still reach the lifespan, the lamps are still OK.

? Cap, lamp holder or lamp base type.

? Product length in millimetres. For fluorescent tubes, this excludes the metal pins on the end unless otherwise stated.

? This is the code on the lamp or appliance that the lamps meet the standards LIF. LIF stands for Lighting Industry Federation. This institute developed standards for performance, safety and dimensions. Lamps with a similar LIF code are interchangeable.
